Veterans benefits notices at work

If enacted, the Labor Secretary and the VA Secretary would make a state-by-state notice listing veterans benefits and how to apply. Notices would be published within 270 days and include the Veterans Crisis Line, application steps, and any State-law benefits the State provides. Each State would get a 45-day period to send its state-law information, and the notices would be updated at least twice per year and posted on the Labor and VA websites in an 8.5 by 11 inch format. If enacted, covered employers (those with 50 or more employees on each working day in 20 or more calendar workweeks, including certain public agencies, the GAO, and the Library of Congress) would have to post the State notice where employee notices are customarily posted, starting one year after enactment. The Labor and VA departments would run an information campaign for 180 days after enactment to tell employers about the notices and posting requirement.
