Authorizes Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. to establish a memorial on federal land in the District of Columbia and its environs. Private funding for Tuskegee memorial
This bill would authorize Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. to establish a commemorative work on Federal land in the District of Columbia area, subject to the Commemorative Works Act. If enacted, federal funds would not be allowed to pay any expense of establishing the memorial. Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. would be solely responsible for accepting donations and paying all establishment costs, including the required maintenance and preservation amount. After those payments, any remaining balance would be sent to the Interior Department account in section 8906(b)(3). If the memorial authority expires under section 8903(e), any leftover funds would be sent to a National Park Foundation memorials account and made available under section 8906(b)(4). The bill would set PAYGO effects by reference to the Budget Committee statement if that statement is submitted before the House vote.
