Parliamentary cooperation to advance democratic values in the Indo-Pacific. This resolution would commend the Japanese Diet’s Caucus for Universal Values in the Indo-Pacific and recognize the Japan Center for International Exchange and its Democracy for the Future partners for strengthening democratic governance and civil society. It would encourage expanded collaboration between the U.S. House and the Japanese Diet, including cooperation through the House Democracy Partnership, to support human rights, free and fair elections, rule of law, and resilience against authoritarian influence across the region.
