Quicker House vote on term limits
If adopted, this resolution would make the House immediately consider H.J.Res.12, a proposed constitutional amendment to limit congressional terms. The joint resolution would be considered as read. The previous question would be ordered and one hour of debate would be allowed, split equally and controlled by the Judiciary Committee chair and ranking minority member or their designees. Points of order and demands to divide the question would not apply. Clause 1(c) of House Rule XIX would not apply for this consideration. This would only change House floor procedure for that one resolution and would not change programs or funding.
