Suicide-prevention numbers on student IDs
This bill would require colleges that make new student ID cards to print three crisis contact numbers on each card. The numbers would be 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, the Crisis Text Line, and the school's campus mental health phone. If a school does not issue new ID cards after enactment, it would post the same numbers on its website. If 988 or the Crisis Text Line ceases to exist, the Secretary of Education could name a similar replacement. The requirement would start one year after the date of enactment.
