Transfer Pit River land into trust

If enacted, this bill would move about 583.79 acres called the Four Corners Federal land from the Forest Service to the Interior Department. The Interior Secretary would take the land into trust for the Pit River Tribe and it would become part of the Tribe's Reservation. The land would remain subject to any valid existing rights and to federal trust laws. The bill would ban class II and class III gaming on the parcel and require a full survey within 180 days of enactment. The parcel is defined by a Forest Service map dated November 6, 2024, and the bill excludes about 20.03 acres of roads and rights-of-way and names the included Pit River rancherias.
