Summary

This bill would give a December 1, 2026 cost-of-living increase to specific Veterans Affairs disability and survivors benefits, raising wartime disability compensation, additional pay for dependents, the clothing allowance, and dependency and indemnity compensation for surviving spouses and children. Each dollar amount would increase by the same percentage as the Social Security Title II boost effective December 1, 2026 under section 215(i); the Secretary of Veterans Affairs may administratively adjust rates for people covered by section 10 of Public Law 85-857 who have not received chapter 11 compensation, and must publish the adjusted amounts in the Federal Register by the date tied to that Social Security determination.

You would get higher VA disability or survivor payments starting December 1, 2026.
