Spotted lanternfly research grants for farmers

This bill would add spotted lanternfly control to the list of high-priority research and extension initiatives. It would authorize research and extension grants under existing law (7 U.S.C. 5925(d)) to develop and share tools and treatments for the Spotted Lanternfly. It would also extend the authorization window by replacing 2023 with 2028. Grants would only be available if Congress provides funding and if you are an eligible applicant, such as researchers, land-grant universities, extension services, farmers, or related small businesses in affected areas.
