Parents of disabled students: records and visits

Parents of a child with a disability can see all school records about identification, evaluation, program, placement, and services. You can do this yourself or through a representative. You can get copies of the records, but not the actual test or exam materials. Schools must give copies free or charge only their actual cost, and may not set fees that block access. You or your representative can visit and observe your child’s current or proposed public school program.
