Felony for shooting at homes, cars, churches, businesses

The law makes it illegal to knowingly or intentionally fire a gun at a home, church, car, or business. A violation is a class E felony. A "place of business" means a permanent building with signs where a legal business runs; shooting ranges are not included. A person cannot be convicted of this crime and reckless endangering (first or second degree) for the same act. This protects people where they live, worship, travel, and work.
