Relocation fund ends July 1, 2029

The law ends the Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Trust Fund on July 1, 2029. After that date, the fund no longer makes relocation payments. Manufactured-home owners cannot get help from this fund after July 1, 2029.

Relocation fund: board votes and $15M cap

The law requires at least 3 of the 5 board members to approve any payments from the Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Trust Fund. The same vote is needed to change, remove, or bring back the fund’s assessment and cap. The cap is $15 million, and the board can raise, remove, or reinstate it with that vote. A cap can limit money for relocation payments, but the board can adjust it as costs change.
