Up to $5,000 loan help for school clinicians

Full-time speech-language pathologists, school counselors, psychologists, and social workers in Delaware public schools can get up to $5,000 a year toward student loans. You must have worked full time for at least one school year and have a qualified loan taken before you apply. The state pays your lender directly. You can get one payment per year and up to three payments in your life. The Office may prioritize people with greater financial need. Awards depend on yearly state funding, and counselors, psychologists, and social workers must hold a Delaware educator license and certificate.

Scholarships for future school clinicians

Full-time master’s students in Delaware programs that lead to SLP licensure or to certification as a school counselor, psychologist, or social worker can get scholarships. Awards depend on state funding. You can renew for up to two years if you meet the Delaware Higher Education Office’s renewal rules.

Stipends for high-need school employees

Full-time public school employees in high-need areas can get at least $1,000 a year. You must have a qualified educational loan and meet license and job rules. You can receive one award per year and up to five awards in your life. The state pays through payroll and may prioritize high-need schools and those with greater financial need. Awards depend on annual state budget funding.
