Truck combo permits ended for haulers

The permit program for certain combination truck and trailer configurations ended on January 1, 2025. Owners and operators can no longer get those permits and must meet standard limits.

Florida Guard enlistment program ended

The Florida National Guard Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program ended on July 1, 2025. Recruits and members no longer get benefits from that program.

Title fraud ID pilot ended

The title-fraud identity verification pilot ended on July 1, 2025. Homeowners and businesses who used it no longer have that state-backed option.

Building inspection fees can rise again

The law removed a temporary ban on raising local building inspection fees in certain Hurricane Ian and Nicole disaster areas on June 30, 2025. Local governments in those FEMA-declared areas can now raise these fees.

Rule for coding some college programs ended

On July 1, 2025, the law removed the rule that required a special state CIP code for Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs by August 31, 2024. Colleges and the state center no longer have that deadline, and programs may not use a single standard code.

No more 50% cut to license fees

The 50% cut to initial professional license fees ended on July 1, 2025. New applicants after that date pay the full initial fee.

Child welfare monitoring task force ended

The Task Force on Monitoring Children in Out-of-Home Care ended on June 30, 2025. Agencies and members no longer have the meetings, reports, or duties that task force required.

Old transport budget and plate rules ended

On July 1, 2025, the 12-month presale extension for the Florida State Beekeepers specialty plate was removed. The law also deleted budget language that only applied to the 2023–2025 fiscal years and does not create new funding.

Expired rules for state officials removed

The law deleted expired rules that named the Lieutenant Governor’s official headquarters and allowed patrol officer assignments to certain officials for the 2024–2025 fiscal year, effective July 1, 2025. It also removed a citizen support group authorization for the Department of State’s intergovernmental programs effective October 1, 2025. These administrative permissions are no longer in law.

School testing transition rules removed

On July 1, 2025, the law removed one-time rules for 2022–2023 school and district grades and paused school improvement ratings. It also ended a required independent review of the student screening and progress system. Schools now follow the regular accountability rules.
