No ADS-B-based fees for small planes

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida airports cannot use ADS‑B tracking data to charge certain fees. The ban covers fees for departures and landings, including touch‑and‑go landings. It also blocks fees based on entering a set radius of the airport’s airspace. This applies only to aircraft 12,499 pounds or less that fly under 14 C.F.R. part 91. ADS‑B is the system planes use to broadcast their position.
