Shelter residents' addresses and phones protected

The law keeps your address and phone private if you used a public emergency shelter during a storm or other disaster. The shelter agency cannot release that contact info under Florida public records law. This applies only to information held by the agency that gave you shelter. It takes effect immediately and ends on October 2, 2026, unless the Legislature renews it.
