2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.

RV park special assessments use commercial rules

Counties, cities, and special districts must assess RV parks under chapter 513 as commercial, like hotels, not as many homes. They cannot base non-ad valorem special assessments on claiming the park has residential units. They must consider occupancy rates so any assessment is split fairly among parks that get the benefit. They cannot assess the part of a space that is bigger than the legal RV unit size in s. 320.01(1)(b). These rules first apply to the 2026 property tax roll.

New start date: 2026 property tax roll

The new assessment rules first apply to the 2026 property tax roll. The act takes effect upon becoming law, but billing changes show up starting with the 2026 roll. This tells local governments when to use the new rules.
