Beginning July 1, 2026, you can get free swimming lesson vouchers for children age 4 or younger. Your household income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. You must live in Florida. The state sets the application and eligibility rules.
Beginning July 1, 2026, the Florida Department of Health provides standard drowning-prevention and safe-bathing materials. Hospitals, birth centers, and home birth providers must give them during postpartum education and care. Childbirth educators must give the same materials during classes. The materials explain infant and toddler drowning risks, supervision, early swim lessons, and evidence-based safe bath practices.
