Florida driver and boat emails private

The law keeps e-mail addresses held by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles private. It covers emails given for driver licenses, ID cards, motor-vehicle registrations, and boat or vessel registrations. It also covers emails used for any department notices, not just renewal reminders. The rule applies to emails already on file. The act takes effect on the same date as SB 488. The exemption ends on October 2, 2031, unless the Legislature renews it.
