Free car registration for veterans

The law waives the annual vehicle license and registration fee at first issue and at renewal. You qualify if the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs finds you 100% disabled or individually unemployable and the Guam Office of Veterans Affairs (OVA) certifies you. World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans registered with Guam OVA also qualify. Spouses, legal guardians, surviving spouses, Gold Star parents, and recipients of certain military awards (like the Medal of Honor, Silver Star, or Purple Heart) can qualify. The waiver covers one non-commercial passenger vehicle, such as a sedan, coupe, pickup, motorcycle, station wagon, or a car pulling a light trailer. Give Guam OVA–certified documents (for example, DD-214 or a military ID) to the Department of Revenue and Taxation to get the waiver.
