Get Guam license after 90 days, tests waived

After 90 days, you must have a Guam driver’s license to keep driving. When you get the Guam license, you do not have to take the written test or the road test. You must give your old out‑of‑Guam license to the Division of Motor Vehicles, unless the Director sets a different process.

Longer driving on Guam with U.S. license

You can drive in Guam with a valid U.S. license from another state or territory for up to 90 days from your arrival. You must carry that license while driving. You can extend this up to the earlier of one year after arrival or your license’s expiration if you register your license with the Department of Revenue and Taxation and pay up to $25. If registration is approved, the Department issues a Certificate with your name, age, the certificate’s expiration date, and your out‑of‑Guam license number. The Department can refuse registration if it cannot verify your license, you cannot prove your entry date, or your license was revoked or suspended. The Department can also require a written test, a road test, or both to validate your license.
