Land for Guam Community College nursing annex

The law transfers Lot No. 2417-1-R7 (17,717 square meters) in Mangilao to Guam Community College. GCC holds the land in fee simple to build a nursing annex for nursing and allied health training. Any other use must be approved by GCC’s Board of Trustees. The deed includes a rule: if the use conflicts with this purpose, the land reverts to the government of Guam. Before seeking financing or grants, GCC and DPHSS must sign a Memorandum of Agreement for shared clinical spaces and offices.

Faster land transfer and start date

The law waives certain land appraisal rules for this transfer, which speeds up the process. The law takes effect 30 days after DPHSS sends the final inspection results for the structure on the lot to the Speaker of I Liheslaturan Guåhan. Actions under the law begin after that 30-day period.
