Guam ties required for Guard leaders

The law sets new eligibility rules for the Guam National Guard’s top posts. To be Adjutant General or Assistant Adjutant General (Army or Air), you must be a U.S. citizen. You must also have Guam as your Home of Record or have at least 5 years of service in the Guam National Guard before appointment. The law is effective upon enactment.
