Schools teach Guam’s military history

Schools in Guam host lessons and events about veterans in November. Veterans speak in classrooms, and students study Guam’s military history. The Education Department develops materials and helps schools connect with veterans. Participation is not required, and there is no dedicated funding.

November is Veterans Service Month

The law makes November Veterans Service Recognition Month in Guam. The Governor issues a yearly proclamation and directs agencies to support events. The Guam Office of Veterans Affairs coordinates activities with veteran groups. Programs run only when the Legislature appropriates money; this law does not fund them.
