Idaho Fish and Game receives $18.305 million for July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, from state and federal funds. This includes administration ($11.2237 million), enforcement ($220,800), fisheries ($2.8151 million), wildlife ($3.4954 million), and communications ($550,000). The law also provided $270,000 from the Fish and Game Expendable Trust Fund for wildlife operating costs during July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025, effective upon passage and approval. The department can carry forward unused, uncommitted non-General Fund money from fiscal year 2025 for specified projects. That money covers one-time deferred maintenance, the Pocatello office remodel, and website overhaul costs during July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026.
Idaho Fish and Game can carry forward up to $1.8 million from the Expendable Big Game Depredation Fund. The money supports one-time payments for fiscal year 2025 wildlife damage claims. Only unused money not already committed is available, for July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Before processing, the State Controller must confirm the amount by fund, spending category, and program with the Legislative Services Office. The law does not set individual payment amounts.
