The law requires Louisiana health officials to adopt rules for assigning all federally approved Medicaid waivers. The disability supports and aging services offices must base assignments on each person's needs and cost-effectiveness. They can use a different waiver only if it meets that person's needs. The provision does not guarantee more services or set a funding amount or effective date.
