More glucose monitor coverage through Louisiana Medicaid

Louisiana Medicaid expands continuous glucose monitor coverage for enrollees with any type of diabetes, including diabetes during pregnancy. To qualify, enrollees must require insulin or have evidence of level 2 or level 3 hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Insulin users no longer need to use insulin more than two times daily to qualify. Existing exceptions in another part of the law still apply; their details are not included in this text.
