Victoria Farms district expands with fee rules

The law expands the Victoria Farms Crime Prevention and Improvement District in East Baton Rouge Parish. Its boundaries include the area enclosed by Airline Highway, Greenwell Street, Joor Road, and Greenwell Springs Road. The district can charge a fee on parcels, but the law does not require one. A majority of registered district voters voting on the proposal must approve the fee and later changes in its amount. The board can change the fee by formally adopting a resolution, but cannot exceed the existing legal maximum.
