Lawmakers gain free foreign travel with limits

Louisiana legislators can accept free, reasonable transportation to foreign countries. Trips must be organized mainly for trade, culture, diplomacy, education, or humanitarian work. Sponsors must be the destination country's government or a civic, nonprofit, educational, or political organization. Legislators cannot accept transportation sponsored by a government or nongovernment person listed as a foreign adversary under 15 CFR 791.4.
