Higher sales exemption for home food sellers

Louisiana raises the gross annual sales cutoff for its low-risk homemade food exemption from $30,000 to $100,000. People preparing low-risk foods at home for sale qualify below $100,000 in gross annual sales. The exemption covers the Sanitary Code and other applicable food safety laws. Sellers with annual sales from $30,000 to below $100,000 newly qualify; the exemption does not apply at $100,000 or more.
