Shreveport health sciences center gains state property

Beginning July 1, 2026, state transportation property transfers to the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport for its use. The four Caddo Parish parcels include all improvements. They cover Lots 52 through 66 of Salisbury Park Subdivision and Lots 50, 51, and 52 of Samford Place Subdivision. Parcel numbers are 28-3, UR-28-3, 50-5, and UR-50-5. The Commissioner of Administration and transportation secretary must sign the needed transfer documents under state property-transfer law. After the transfer, the center must record the documents in Caddo Parish conveyance records. The law also repeals Sections 5 through 8 of Act 93 of 2025, removing the earlier transfer authority. It specifies no property value or direct change to household taxes, benefits, or services.
