Higher pay cap for Livingston gas commissioners

The law raises Livingston Parish Gas Utility District No. 1 commissioners’ daily pay cap from $75 to $125. The board sets the actual daily rate; no increase is required, and salaries remain banned. Daily pay covers meetings attended, up to 50 meetings per year, and days spent on district business. Commissioners may also receive reimbursement for all proper district business expenses. The board may set reasonable extra pay for its secretary, treasurer, or combined secretary-treasurer. These district-specific pay rules override conflicting laws.
