Louisiana's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries must create a bulk tagging option for harvesters using alternative oyster cultivation. One bulk tag can cover all oysters aboard a vessel from the harvest area to the dockside facility. Tags must include all information required by Louisiana's health, public health, and wildlife agencies. Oysters and other mollusks taken for sale and packed in their shells aboard a vessel must be tagged before removal. Those packed in their shells at dockside must be placed in containers and tagged immediately upon arrival, before shipment.
