Higher Louisiana filing fees for businesses

Beginning October 1, 2026, businesses and other filers pay higher Louisiana Secretary of State fees. Covered domestic corporation filings rise from $75 to $95; domestic limited liability company (LLC) filings rise from $100 to $125. Covered domestic nonprofit filings also cost $95. Specified foreign corporation filings rise from $125 to $155, and foreign LLC filings rise from $150 to $185. Annual report fees for LLCs, foreign entities, and registered limited liability partnerships rise from $30 to $35. Covered agent, office, address, and leadership changes cost $30, as do supplemental initial LLC reports. Foreign partnership registrations, amendments, and terminations cost $85; covered domestic partnership filings and conversions to or from partnerships cost $125. Registered limited liability partnership filings, including renewals, conversions, and mergers, cost $55. Trade name, trademark, and service mark registrations, renewals, assignments, and terminations cost $95. Copies of those records cost $25, and certification costs $20. Other covered documents or certificates cost $25; additional certified copies cost $20, and copies with amendments cost $30. Collection agency registration costs $30, and covered state cable or video franchise filings cost $75. While-you-wait service rises from $50 to $60, and 24-hour service rises from $30 to $35. Receipt of service of process or other legal instruments costs $60.

More filings carry fees for providers

Beginning October 1, 2026, Louisiana extends a $250 Secretary of State fee to more provider and company filings. Home service contract providers pay $250 for amendments, financial statements, reports, and renewals. Motor vehicle service contract providers and structured settlement purchase companies pay $250 for amendments and renewals.
