The Lincoln Parish clerk of court now handles jury commission work and coordinates the jury pool process. The clerk can name a deputy in writing to act in the clerk’s place on all jury commission matters. The clerk or deputy has the same powers, duties, and responsibilities as a jury commissioner and follows the same laws. The clerk receives the pay authorized for a jury commissioner, but the law sets no dollar amount.
