Prisoner transfers lose 72-hour notice deadline

Louisiana sheriffs must still notify the prosecutor and the court that set bail when planning transfers to another parish jail. This rule applies only to prisoners not under sentence to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. The law removes the requirement for notice at least 72 hours before transfer. It sets no replacement minimum notice period.
