Louisiana Supreme Court oversees justice information board

The law places the Integrated Criminal Justice Information System Policy Board under the Louisiana Supreme Court’s control. The court must provide the clerical, professional, or technical staff the board needs. The board can get temporary staff or technical help from executive-branch agencies only with the agency head’s approval. The law takes effect upon the governor’s signature or when the deadline for becoming law without a signature expires. Following a veto override, it takes effect the day after legislative approval.
