Construction code council gains funding options

Beginning August 1, 2025, the contractors’ licensing board’s executive director may use board funds for Louisiana’s construction code council. The law sets no funding amount and does not require spending. Council members serve without pay, but eligible members may receive reimbursement for actual meeting expenses and mileage. The former limit of 12 reimbursable meetings per calendar year is removed. State travel rules still apply, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
