Insurance claims professionals must share license numbers

Beginning August 1, 2026, Louisiana requires license numbers in electronic messages to insured people. This applies to adjusters, public adjusters, and appraisers, who must include their Louisiana license number. Text messages composed and sent as part of their business or employment are exempt. The rule helps insured people identify the professional contacting them and verify their license.
