Younger adults can become associate teachers

Louisiana lowers the minimum age for its associate educator program from 25 to 21. People ages 21–24 now meet the age requirement to serve as teachers through the program. Other program requirements stay unchanged. The act takes effect upon the governor’s signature, when the deadline for action without signature passes, or the day after a veto override.
