Louisiana homeowners get permanent homestead registration forms

Every Louisiana parish assessor must provide property owners with a form for permanent registration for the homestead property-tax exemption. This expands the form requirement beyond the parishes previously covered. Homeowners must still qualify for the exemption. The law does not change the exemption amount or eligibility rules.
