Beginning June 30, 2026, the law re-creates Louisiana's Department of Agriculture and Forestry and its related legal entities. Their existing legal powers continue. Their authority to exist ends July 1, 2031, unless they are re-created earlier through Louisiana's legal renewal process. Related entities must begin winding down on July 1, with their legal authority ending July 1 the following year. The law does not specify new household payments, benefit eligibility rules, or individual duties.
