Term limits for some hospital commissioners

The law covers Louisiana hospital districts in parishes with over 25,000 and no more than 26,000 people. Population is based on the latest federal census taken every 10 years. When terms of commissioners serving on August 1, 2026, expire, their successors receive four-year terms. The appointment process stays the same as for their predecessors. No commissioner can serve more than two consecutive four-year terms. These rules override conflicting laws.
