Higher daily pay for Lafourche port commissioners

Beginning August 1, 2026, the daily pay cap for Greater Lafourche Port Commission members rises from $150 to $250. The Commission chooses the actual rate and does not have to pay the maximum. Payments cover days spent attending Commission meetings or doing Commission-approved business. Each member can receive no more than six payments per month. At the maximum rate, that totals up to $1,500 per month.
