Fuel reward discounts protected for customers

Beginning August 1, 2026, Louisiana fuel-price laws cannot limit the value of earned fuel rewards or their discounts. This protection covers rewards customers earn through loyalty, fuel rewards, or similar discount programs. It covers rewards exchanged for fuel discounts at the program retailer or another fuel retailer. The protection applies even when the discounted fuel price is otherwise prohibited by fuel-price laws. The law sets no discount amount.
