Beginning August 1, 2026, covered Louisiana boards, commissions, and similar entities must post contact details on their websites. Beginning July 1, 2027, the Commissioner of Administration must also publish these details in the state's Official Journal. Listings must name at least two contacts and give their phone numbers: the chairman and, when applicable, the executive director or administrator. They must include a mailing address, each member's email, and the entity's website and phone number when applicable. The chairman serves as the emergency contact; the law does not require public funds to provide members with phones. Parish election boards need not list each member's email on their websites. Their website and Official Journal listings must use the Department of State elections hotline number and website.
