Louisiana must make Irish license agreement

Beginning August 1, 2026, Louisiana’s Office of Motor Vehicles must enter a driver’s-license recognition agreement with Ireland. The law gives the office authority to adopt rules needed for agreements with foreign jurisdictions, agencies, or governments. These agreements concern driver’s licenses or equivalent credentials.
