More anchoring access for Oyster Bayou boaters

Beginning August 1, 2026, boats can anchor in the waters covered by Louisiana's Oyster Bayou law, R.S. 56:499.3(A). The boat must be outside oyster lease boundaries, and someone must remain aboard the entire time it is anchored. This permission applies even when other rules in that same section restrict anchoring.
