Fewer trailer owners need state titles
The law takes effect 60 days after passage. In New Hampshire, trailers with a gross weight below 3,001 pounds are exempt from state title requirements. Trailers over 3,001 pounds are also exempt when the manufacturer's model year is more than 10 years old. Owners of qualifying trailers avoid the title process and related title fees.
