Charter schools not required to sign special education agreements

Beginning 60 days after the law’s passage, charter schools and a student’s home district no longer must sign a written agreement about special education services. The law removes the formal agreement requirement. Families may see less guaranteed paperwork and process, while schools get more flexibility in how they coordinate.
