Beginning February 1, 2027, chiropractic students can apply for a limited license for supervised clinical training in New Jersey. Students must be in the final year or final two semesters of a program approved by the state's chiropractic board. They must attest to good academic standing, pass a criminal background check, and pay a nonrefundable fee. The law does not set the fee amount. A board-approved, New Jersey-licensed chiropractor must provide on-site oversight, guidance, and evaluation. The license expires when the student graduates or withdraws from the program. The board must set rules for supervisor training and experience, supervision, student practice limits, and which existing licensing rules apply.
